Indonesia fuels PRecious’ regional growth, Oddie Octaviadi becomes new Market Lead

PRecious has announced the appointment of Rachmad Tri Octaviadi (Oddie) as new Market Lead for its Indonesian operations. Oddie previously held senior roles at global network agencies such as BCW and FleishmanHillard (Omnicom PR Group), driving especially their technology businesses in the country. His appointment is a testament to the continued growth of the Indonesian market and PRecious’ commitment to strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia’s largest economy by continuing to attract the best brands and talent across the consumer, tech, and startup ecosystems.

“Indonesia continues to see a lot more interest from brands looking at Southeast Asia as their next growth market, particularly among technology firms, corporates, startups and investors,” said Lars Voedisch, Managing Director of PRecious Communications. “That’s why we’re reinforcing our commitment to Indonesia and we are thrilled to welcome Oddie to our growing team. With his extensive expertise, we can navigate the local landscape better, forge stronger connections, and create more meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders. Together, we’ll harness Indonesia’s dynamic ecosystem to drive effective communication strategies and create value for businesses, both local and global.”

Oddie brings with him more than 20 years of experience in PR, strategic communications, and digital marketing. In previous roles, he has driven counsel and local remits for high-profile clients including Qualcomm, Twitter, Changi Airport Group, LaLiga, Dell, and Shell Indonesia, to name a few. Working closely with these brands and companies allowed him to accumulate extensive knowledge and experience in areas such as public relations for technology, energy, and lifestyle, alongside digital media, web and application development, and social media marketing.

“As more and more businesses look at Indonesia as part of their expansion efforts, cultivating a diverse communication strategy that cuts across multiple platforms becomes a priority. By harnessing the power of various channels, coupled with local expertise and know-how, we can effectively reach and engage with our target audience, ensuring a stronger and more comprehensive communication approach,” said Oddie.

A growing team for a fast-growing market

Since 2016, PRecious Indonesia continues to build a strong client base that includes Accenture Indonesia, Johnson & Johnson, and insurtech Igloo, among others.

Alongside the continued growth of the market, a main priority of PRecious Indonesia under the helm of Oddie will be to increase headcount by 30% by end-2023.

“One of my key priorities is to understand the strengths of our current team and strategically expand its headcount by the end of the year to complement and enhance our existing capabilities and introduce internal development programs in order to make us even more competitive and forge stronger relationships with local and global brands,” Oddie explained.

With Oddie as the new Indonesia Market Lead, PRecious will continue to deliver exceptional integrated communication services and drive success for its clients in a dynamic Indonesian market.
