At PRecious Communications, we recognise the effort and dedication each team member puts into his or her work. It goes without saying that a talented individual with strong work ethics is hard to find in any industry. We are proud to have three extremely talented and committed individuals at PRecious who have contributed so much to the company, and we would like to acknowledge their efforts as they celebrate their third anniversary.
We catch up with Yanchang, Charlene and Mervyn and ask them questions about their experience working here at PRecious Communications for three beautiful years.
Dynamic Work Environment
Question: What do you like most about your work at PRecious?
Definitely the dynamic work environment. Truly, no two days are and have been the same. My current role also provides me with exposure to a considerable range of verticals, granting me an in-depth look into industries that I normally wouldn’t have had access to and allowing me to meet business leaders that I’ve had extremely insightful conversations with. This has enabled me to expand my world view, something I greatly appreciate continuously.
In the office, I’ve been extremely fortunate to be surrounded by extremely talented teammates that have been an absolute joy to work with. Though life in an agency can be fast-paced and demanding at times, having a supportive, capable team that knows how to work hard and also play hard has made all the difference for me.
Question: Describe a time when you felt good about your work/achievement.
There are far too many to choose from, but as a PR practitioner, being able to witness the tangible impact (positive, of course) of our efforts on a client’s objectives is something that definitely makes the work worth it.
During my time here at PRecious, I’ve had the opportunity to work with numerous clients managing technology platforms or deal with insights that hold tremendous transformative potential for the Asian business landscape. The realisation that our work here plays a significant role in driving these objectives is personally a powerful motivator.

The Camaraderie with My Team
Question: Describe a time when you felt good about your work/achievement
We were tasked with handling the PR initiatives at ACES 2019- and I am happy to have been part of the accounts team that helped strategise the PR plan and managed to secure several interview opportunities for different spokespersons. We got favourable feedback from the client after the event, and I would consider this to be one of the most memorable projects at PRecious.
Question: If you changed your role completely, what would you miss the most about your current role?
More than developing content, I will miss the camaraderie I have with my current team. I will miss working with my accounts team on various tasks, from brainstorming ideas for proposals, story angles for potential pitches, helping develop solid PR strategies for various clients, and day-to-day account management work.

Banging out New Ideas for Upcoming Campaigns
Question: What do you like most about your work at PRecious?
The camaraderie that the team has formed overtime is definitely commendable. I’m talking about a team that pro-actively offers to take on additional deliverables (that may not be their responsibility) just to offload another team member who may be struggling with an insane workload at that moment.
Question: What makes a great day at work for you?
7.30 am: Getting started bright and early when my mind is the most alert, banging out new ideas for upcoming campaigns and start churning out new content and deliverables.
9.00 am: The team is online and ready for a Zoom brainstorm session. Always good to see everyone’s out-of-bed look. #fresh
1.00 pm: Time for daily nourishment.
2.00 pm: Weekly work-in-progress call with the client. Clients are delighted to see our faces. By then, we don’t look like we’ve just crawled out of bed.
4.00 pm: More deliverables and campaign planning. Bring it on!
7.30 pm: Winding down to recharge for another awesome day ahead tomorrow.
