The time of departure was approaching, and both the excitement and the fear within me grew. But just arrived in Singapore, my fear was replaced by curiosity. Right on my first day at work I knew that my decision was the right one.
I had absolutely no idea what PR was. I didn’t even know the difference between PR and marketing. But all my colleagues were ready and willing to help, so that I could discover the joy of my activities within a short time. My tasks were exciting and diverse. The weekly Newsletter for the Bundesliga was the most fun. No wonder, as a football enthusiast I practised my hobby and was paid for it. But also as part of the BDV team I had a lot of responsibility from the beginning and knew that I was an important part of the team. Under these circumstances, it was also acceptable to stay in the office a little longer from time to time. Sometimes just to get tips in the pantry for my next trip.
But what makes PRecious Communications so precious are the people: energetic, collaborative and cheerful. Every one of them has a trait I admire. So, it was a great pleasure for me to be part of this team. I am really happy to be able to call many of my former colleagues friends now. For sure, I’ll tell my grandchildren about our joint adventures in Singapore and maybe even teach them some Singlish, if I haven’t forgotten it myself by then.
